53.1424 N, 7.6921 WMy first time studying abroad was in Ireland. I went to many different places too, but Ireland has always stuck with me. It was honestly the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life. The air was so fresh, the water was crystal clear, the grass was the brightest green; It was enchanting.
While in Ireland, I helped renovate an elementary school. I took Irish dancing lessons, which was surprisingly enjoyable. I learned how to play gaelic football. I also met friends that I still try to keep in contact with. Traveling to Ireland helped widen my views of the world. Any kind of travel,to me, is about learning something you didn't know before. I feel traveling is important because it helps you discover things, about the world and about yourself, that you didn't know was there. I'm hoping that being in Siena and experiencing this new culture will bring me the same adventurous feeling as being in Ireland did. It was truly an experience of a lifetime, so I'm looking forward to what Italy has in store for me. Who knows what I'll discover this time? |
